Will someone, ANYONE, please ask the American people how much of the total federal income tax (they believe) is paid by the most wealthy, the top 5% of income earners in this country? Most will say less than their "fair" share, less than that 5%.
Next, ask the American people how much of the total federal income tax (they believe) the top 5% should pay. I am confident that most will suggest more than 5% but far less than the actual 60%.
It is time that ALL of the American people learn the truth. We have allowed the Democrats to define this issue with the electorate, to hide the fact that the wealthiest (top 5%) actually pay over half of all U. S. income taxes.
Let's STOP the class envy . . . at least on this issue!
